It is a typical big farm house built in 1874 in “La Quinta de San Martiño”, far from the main house, but next to the esplanade of street market (Feira) because of which it was named after.

Since the 18th century, the Feira (street market) was held on the 24th of each month, but today it is held on the second Sunday of every month in Lobios, about 1 km from here… you can take a stroll among vegetables, breads and sweets, spices, fruits, stills or “pulpeiras” with the delicious “pulpo a feira”.

Casa da Feira was inhabited by the families of lords, workers, people from both sides of the border fleeing the wars, smugglers and bandits. There were a large number of olive trees that produced high quality oil, highly appreciated by the bishopric of Ourense.

Until the mid-20th century, the oil mill was preserved and it has been recently recovered as well as the traditional wood-fired oven.

The place where the oil was produced is called “Casa do Aceite” and nowadays is occupied by the lounge-gallery, the living room, the cosy sitting room and the kitchen.

Opposite “Casa do Aceite” is the peaceful country hotel with six double rooms and two family rooms, all of them exterior with views to the valley, spacious, comfortable and with a contemporary touch amidst traditional local materials and many original features. The house is surrounded by gardens with swimming pool, there is a vegetable garden, olive groves and down to the river you can find the stables and a watermill.

It is 1.5 km from Lobios, where the Interpretation Centre of the Natural Park is located. We are 63 km from Ourense capital and 90 Km from Braga, Portugal.
